How Digital Access is Becoming More Inclusive in Myanmar

Based on the results from Beyond Access Myanmar, this infographic explores how new opportunities to access technology are impacting people in participating communities. More than 16,000 people have had the chance to use tablets at their local libraries in the last three months — and 9,000 people received training in a new skill. Survey results show that 41% of visitors are using their library's new technology to access news or learning opportunities. Another 36% have worked to improve their technology skills. And 3,300 people had the opportunity to access internet for the first time.

Schools and other community organizations are also taking advantage of these new library services. In Mandalay, a librarian from Pyigyitagun partners with teachers at a nearby school so they can use tablets in their classrooms — giving their students practical, hands-on experience using tech tools.
